Who doesn’t love a party, I ask you? I have never been one to shy away from entertaining, and it seems that this has rubbed off on my son Connor. Last year, it was the day before Halloween, and he was setting out the pieces to his then favourite board game (Candyland) and telling me who of his friends was going to be each player. I asked him when he was going to play with them, and he responded, “Tomorrow, at my Halloween Party Mom.”
Since this was the first I had heard of the party, I had to gently tell him that there wouldn’t be a halloween party. “But I want to see all my friends costumes, Mom…” he said with his hound-dog eyes. So we decided to have a party in November and we would call it “The Dark Party”. And so the theme party to flight in our house.
